Join Track Club Coach Mike Fronsoe for a 5 week series on running smart at the Track.
When: Mondays @ 6:30PM for 5 weeks ~ November 28th - December 26th
This weeks class will be held at Fleet Feet Sports Stuart
Week 1 - Tech Night with Garmin
This week introductions will be made. Coach Mike will introduce you to the importance of recording your training, how to track your training including your software options, how to use your watch and what it can do for you. Our Garmin Rep will be on hand with some demo devices. The class will end with a short work out on the track testing out your watch.
Week 2- Running and Your Body
This week will cover basic running physiology, components of a thorough training plan. Different running types will be defined along with progression and specificity. The importance of nutrition and recovery will be covered as well.
Week 3 - Your Heart Rate
This week will cover heart rate training. Can it be a useful tool, does it have flaws and how to define your training heart rate zones.
Week 4 - Running Form
This week will cover running form. Is the perfect running form attainable? What are the essentials to proper running form and cadence.
Week 5 - Prehab not Rehab - This class will be held at Fleet Feet Stuart
This final week will conclude with defining pre hab and why its necessary. Strength training will be introduced with mat time and some example pre hab routines.
